About the book 

CANCER – What a daunting term! One is choked by the mere thought of it, especially if you yourself or a loved one has been diagnosed with cancer.

After I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, in 2011, at the age of 26 and thereafter again in 2012, I have learned that every breath and every new day is nothing but grace from God. Cancer made me appreciate small things in life again.

I would like to share my cancer war and everything associated with it, with the reader. This is not my story, it is God’s story, where I was only His instrument.

You might have cancer yourself, or have had cancer, or you may be the person who is walking alongside someone fighting cancer, either as a family member, friend or caregiver or you just want to get to know cancer a bit better.

Come and share in my emotional and religious journey from diagnosis, loss of our unborn baby, death of my grandmother, deep, dark depression, right to remission.

May this book give you more insight into cancer and bring new hope. My prayer is that no reader will remain untouched after reading this book. Remember; every day is a gift from God!

About the author

Claudine Venter gained her honours degree in Biokinetics from the North-West University, Potchefstroom in 2007. Unfortunately, cancer claimed its toll on her body, and she can’t practice anymore. She is the wife of Nicus Venter and mommy of their only son, Drian Venter.
